Silopal®

We call our coated aluminium tapes Silopal® because they have been developed originally to damp structure-borne noise. The name has been derived from silence and aluminium.

With our laminating machine we are in a position to produce different versions according to customer demands.

We produce these systems with one process:
1. laminate
2. structure (calotte embossing/ ball embossing or Nopal embossing)
3. micro perforating
4. cutting

With our machine it is also possible to laminate in strips with tailored blankets or apply other layers.

type A – application with sound absorption by micro perforation

type B – application for example sound and vibration absorbing part with micro perforation made of Al 0,2+PP+Al 0,3 = 0,52 mm thickness

Basically there are four types of Silopal:

type A) Silopal- heat sealing system (metal with sealing layer) two layers

type B) Silopal- sheet (steamed metal) three layers

type C) Silopal- mat (metal with mat) three layers

type D) Silopal- insulating system (insulating mat between metal) five layers

type M) mixed system and further versions
